Did Fuji just blow Sony, Canon, and Panasonic Out of the Water?

We have all heard about the Canon EOS R in the last couple days. Full-Frame....4K crop....New Lens Mount....Blah...Blah.

But did anyone else notice that Fujifilm dropped a ridiculous camera yesterday? The Fuji XT-3, which seems to be lurking in the EOS-R's shadow right now, does 4k/60p, at get this, 420 10-bit, INTERNAL. That's nuts. Add in the 12 stops of dynamic range with f-log, APS-C sensor size, and 120 fps at FULL HD (No 720p footage here), I wonder why we're not talking about this camera more. This camera seems to check all the boxes that we could ever want in a small mirrorless camera. I'd love to hear your thoughts about this little magic box that Fuji has created.

Oh and I forgot to mention, it's $1500 USD for the body.

It looks like a great new camera from Fuji, and the 4K 10-bit 4:2:0 is impressive especially at this price. I do wish it could shoot longer than 20 minutes in 4K 60p 10-bit, but that might come with a more advanced model. Kudos to Fuji.

Fuji is known for doing major firmware updates, so you never know, you might be able to record up to 40 minutes come December.

Damn. You're right, why AREN'T we talking about this more??? I've held off on purchasing a mirrorless DSLR because either the 4K capability was lacking or it was micro-four-thirds sensor. Finally, the answer!

This article goes into more depth on the video features. Just amazing it took this long to get those features and it wasn't Nikon or Canon.

Totally. And at this price point, no one is even close.

I try to talk about it tons! I LOVE Fujifilm. But I think it doesn't get the love it deserves because it's still a Super35mm roughly sized sensor (vs. full frame), and full frame is better in low light. I LOVE the XH-1, can't wait to test the XT3, and am psyched for the future, but Fuji seems to be betting on medium format as their next move, skipping over full frame. It's a bold bet, but it means in 2018 they aren't getting the press of canon/nikon. who are 3 years behind sony :)
