I own three 7 inch monitors, including the MustHD M701 ( which is my middle of the road 7 inch monitor ), and I have to say that the MustHD M701 is a great monitor at it's price point. I also own an $850 Marshall 7 inch monitor and the MustHD produces an image that is very close to the quality of the much more expensive Marshall.

No, but checking reviews it looks a lot like the MustHD M701, and the feature set seems identical.

To upgrade from this class of monitor, then you're pretty much doubling the price, and what you're getting is : a waveform display, RGP parade, good on-screen audio meters, etc... In terms of the display image, nothing is really different with the higher priced monitor unless you go for an OLED ( organic LED ) display which has deeper blacks and can have better color reproduction. ( but regular LCD display color is still very good )

I use this 7" monitor with my Panasonic GH4 and gimbal >> http://www.ebay.com/itm/371305636830

It costs $125.79 USD (including shipping), comes with at 1/4 20 ball head, has focus peaking, and supports up to 60fps at 1080. The color is not super accurate — but at this price, it's hard to find a better bang for the buck.

Happy shooting! -George

This is my other 7 inch monitor. It's a great little monitor and produces an excellent image for the price. It's only real drawback is that it's a 6-bit monitor, so you may see banding with long tonal ranges of color. ( but given it's very low price, who cares... )
