"Filmmaker friendly" smartphone?

I am about to purchase (upgrade to) a new phone and my choices are between the iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S5. This would be my first iPhone if i go that route as I have had the Galaxy S3 since it's release. With all these new apps and enhanced abilities these phones are being equipped with, I'm a bit torn. Most of my friends give me their feedback on their uses with each phone but being a filmmaker I've decided I rather ask the NoFilm School community than people who just use their phones for video games and social media.

A lot of my personal info is synced with Google (Google Drive, gmail, etc) but I'm sure I'll be able to use all of this on the iPhone regardless.

Main Concern:
I will be shooting a short film later this year and wouldn't mind shooting some promo footage for it with my phone if need be. I'm behind on the fast evolving cameras available today so I figured doing some test shots and playing around with my phone would help. In terms of camera specs, shooting speed capability, editing clips, low lighting situations, do any of you have a preference or could suggest which one of the two is more "filmmaker friendly" from a technical aspect? Is there even that much of a difference?

Thanks in advance!
