Finally chasing my dream
Hello everyone. I hope all are having a great day so far.
I remember the first time I fell in love with film making. I was in the 12th grade, kicked off the football team, and I fell into depression. I stopped talking to almost everyone I knew. My GPA was 1.9. I honestly didn't know if I wanted to live anymore.
One day in economics, (one of the classes I didn't skip because there were soooo many beautiful girls in there). A school came to show off some of their majors for potential students. Before wrapping up, they showed one last degree major. It was film production. They showcased a student's film and it was mind-blowing. I knew at that moment what I wanted to do. I knew what made me feel alive.
But why at 31, I finally decided to chase my dream when I knew at 18 what I wanted to do? What caused me to wander for 13 years?
FEAR. Like most, we are afraid of the unknown. What if I don't make it? What if I suck? What if I can't find a job? And the list goes on.
When you live on this planet long enough, you realize with time comes knowledge, and with knowledge comes growth. I don't know what the future holds, but what I do know is I am going to spend every waking moment perfecting my craft and inspiring others to do the same.
I am proud to be apart of a field filled with creative people.
