Wow! *This* is a short film: excellent lighting, wardrobe, camera movements, lensing, dialog, sound, everything. How long have you been developing your craft to produce something this good?

I just skimmed the video and watched a few seconds here and there. I already love what I see.

Only watched 2 minutes as I'm heading out the door to shoot. Greatly impressed by what I see and hear so far. Will definitely be back to watch the rest. Looks and sounds "real".

I just finished it. and...it was fantastic! I'm taking notes on it to help my own craft out! Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on your first film! I'm a novice filmmaker myself, but I have some criticism you might find useful. It does indeed have very good cinematography, however the acting to me seems a bit too theatrical, especially the young man's acting. He raises his voice too much and doesn't seem realistically angry during his rant. I like that you gave him something to do with the matches though. In general the dialogue also seems theatrical, but perhaps it's mostly the tone that they deliver it with. However, I think the whole concept/story is great! The last shot is a nice ending, but it would've been nice to see it travel a bit more. I'm guessing you were limited by the space. Overall I think you should focus on getting better at casting and/or directing your actors.

Jeez man that's good stuff. My only gripe is with the younger actor. I'm "aware" that he's acting the whole time. Not that he's acting poorly, but I mean he's acting like he's in a stage play. Other than that this s#@t is pro. The lighting is really impressive. And not impressive to be your first film. Just straight up impressive.

I loved your short film! Your color grading gives it a beautiful old classic look! I believe you and your crew have a great future ahead of you guys! Keep on working to your best, and people will enjoy your work! I am working on my own music video for the song Heathens, on a BMPCC. If you have any good tips (I take Film 2 at my school in 8th grade), they would be greatly appreciated!
