New filmmaker? MNFF wants to see your work!

The third annual Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival has announced its Call For Entries, and is now in the Regular Window for submissions through WithoutABox and FilmFreeway. (The Extended

The MNFF accepts all genres, features (60m +) and shorts (3 - 30m), including student and thesis works. The only stipulation? Your film must be a completed work, and be the product of your first or second time directing.

Now in its third year, the MNFF started with a bang, screening Crystal Moselle's The Wolfpack in its first year and honoring documentary filmmaking legend Barbara Kopple with an honorary screening of Harlan County last August.

But at the core of the festival, and the main focus of its programming, are the works by the newest voices in filmmaking. The MNFF celebrates the works of people who have worked in the industry but have just begun working behind the camera, to students and recent grads.
