Adapting Lenses to GH4

I know the metabones speedbooster makes it possible for you to use EF lenses on a GH4 but I have the 17-55 f2.8 EF-S lens. The other day I was on youtube and randomly stumbled across a video of a guy who made a few modifications to his EF-S lens that made it compatible with the GH4 using the speedbooster but it was 3 in the morning and I was too tired to watch it all but now I can't find that video.

I was wondering if anybody on here knows how to modify the lens or if that is even worth the trouble. I'm also thinking about selling it and buying the panasonic 12-35. I'm not sure.

I would also take a look at the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 lens, which is cheaper than the Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 lens. ( Panasonic has optical stabilization, but you won't need this if you have some other form of stabilization like a mono-pod, tripod, shoulder-mount, etc... )
