Audio tips with c100 mk 2

I want to hook up rode filmmaking lavs to actors. Wondering if its best to put receiver on c100 or to record into separate recorder. If I should record to separate recorder, I would love some recs.

I've recorded audio straight into a C100 many times, and it always sounds great to my ears. I'm not really an audio guy, but reportedly, the Canon cameras have great pre-amps.

I've used the internal audio as well using a rode video mic,it sounds good and totally usable depending on what you are working on (as usual). But I also use the video mic plugged into a zoom H5 recorder and it sounds much much better, used it for a commercial , can't say it totally nailed it but it worked quite well
