Best DSLR Stabilizer, easy to handle and to balance?

Hello,

I have a steady dslr for my canon 7D. But honestly, I 've never been able to balance it and use correctly. It's also really heavy.
I've been planning a Iceland shooting in september, I obviously want the best images I can have and I need a good stab (I'll also have a tripod) to make the kind of images you can see in the last Terrence Malick films. I just used a stabilized lens and a handle, not enough... Waht do you use? Waht are the best choices availabke today (especially at less than 500$)?

Thanks!

Definitely the glidecam hd2000.
I use it on all of my shoots and it provides beautifully smooth footage. You don't need the bigger glidecam hd4000 for the 7d so it'll be right in your price range.

I've been using the flycam nano for the past few years. I got mine for $160. The build quality isn't top notch, but i've never had it break down on me! It's small enough to fit snug in my backpack without breaking it down, it's super light, and it can easily hold a 7D.
