Is this camcorder good enough for low budget filmmaking?

Will this camcorder provide the quality for cinema screenings?

People shoot features on cell phones. The MDH2 produces less annoying problems than most DSLRs and is definitely easier to use. Whether or not it produces good enough images for screenings in theaters depends on how good you are at lighting and art direction.

The camera is about 1-3% of your budget. You are filming all your hard work, investment in actors, locations, crew, etc. with that camera. You are a fool to skimp on the camera.
