In camera effects

There was a tutorial some months ago about using in-camera effects to create the illusion that someone could jump through a wall - or teleport, as it were. Can anyone refer me to that tutorial please?

Is a after effects "effect". I don`t know a tutorial but i know how to do it. Maybe if you are more specific i can help you.

can't really do that effect very easily without after effects work.
However i refer to this as the "I Dream of Jeannie" effect, you press record, have your actor run to the wall (almost smacking into it) then leave the frame for a clean plate.
then in your editor your cut the clip right when the "hit" the wall, and put the clean plate there. simple enough

If you are shooting on film (camcorder) and really can't edit the effect at all, then you push record, have them run into the wall, then stop recording right when the hit the wall, have them leave, and push record again.
which is technically the original I Dream of Jeannie effect.

They do use some After Effects work, but you can do it without the extra smoke effect that they add.
