Canon 6D: does this ISO test make sense?

Hi there, I just watched this Canon 6D ISO test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFdBmIAVJU4 and I'm quite perplexed.

As you can see, more or less the noise gradually and slowly increases from ISO 100 to ISO 640, and then ISO 800... WTF? it's almost better than ISO 100! Then ISO 1000 is much worse, and some big blocks start to show, but from there to ISO 3200 almost nothing changes. Isn't this a strange behavior? Canon 60D and many other Canon cameras behave in a much less "random" way.

It could be a bug in the camera firmware. The Panasonic GH2 camera had a similar ISO bug where you would get different results depending on how you set the ISO.

I did the test myself in my 6D with the latest firmware, and the result was exactly the same. So strange.
