LED Lighting Prices

Will the price of high-quality, color-accurate LED lights drop soon and become priced a bit more reasonably?

I am seriously considering purchasing a $1200 LED 1x1, but was wondering if that is necessarily a smart investment at this time, if the pricing does indeed go down. What do you guys think?

LED technology is still maturing, so I would expect to see lights get better and cheaper over time, but this still might take a few years before we have cheap 1x1 LED lights with a CRI 95+ color rating.

Right now, the cheapest good quality LED light I have seen is the Aputure Amaran HR-672S LED light that sells for about $275 on eBay. It's not as big as a 1x1 light, but it's still quite useful for film-making.

Those lights look pretty nice. I've also had success with something similar but smaller. I got one that was Bi-Colored so less lumens but it does do wonders.
