Short Doc, Shot in Sierra Leone, W. Africa. A7s II.

Here's a short 7 minute doc I made in Sierra Leone. It's a look at what real superheroes do to save lives in a country ravaged by civil war, ebola and poverty.

I work as a DP (features, TV, etc). But this last Christmas, my wife and I decided to donate our time to a medical mission in Sierra Leone. After both a civil war and an ebola epidemic, it's a country in desperate need. Through Go Fund Me, we raised 15k in two weeks for medical and educational supplies. I also decided to take my A7s II, Senheisser Lav, Rode Video Pro Mic, Canon 24-105 and a 20mm Rokinon Cine. In short, I took a camera package that'd fit in a small backpack, so I could make a short doc on the mission.

It was also testament as to what you can do with so little these days.
