Using Sony A7II for video. Your thoughts?

Hi! I'm about to switch from Canon(6D) to Sony Mirrorless(A7II). What are your thoughts on A7II? is it good?

I'm guessing that you're interested in the A7II because it's full frame and will be able to use your Canon lenses, and that the A7S costs $800 more.

For me the main drawbacks for the A7II are moire ( it can be pretty bad depending on your subject ), no 4K recording ( it's hard to go back to 1080 HD shooting once you've shot with 4K ), and poor battery life. ( the A7S isn't any better with batteries, but it doesn't have the moire issue and it can shoot 4K with an external recorder )

If you don't own any lenses, then I would seriously take a look at the Panasonic GH4, it's one of the best cameras for video at it's price point. Otherwise find a way to buy the A7S, as this is the camera that Sony designed from the ground up for video.

Thanks! I'll consider the a7s.. I can't handle the lowlight weaknesses on the GH4..

If I where you, if you don't need to change right now I would wait a bit, hoping that the sensor stabilisation of the A7II will end up on the "A7sII" in the month to come. If you need to change right now then the A7s is probably the best option on the market.
My favourite pick would be the samsung NX1 but its low light capabilities are similar to the GH4.
