The cameras I would look at are:

- Nikon D5300 : Good video image, pretty much no moire, good low-light performance, excellent photographic camera. ( extremely sharp with good dynamic range )

- Nikon D5500 : Same as D5300 with a few updates.

- Nikon D7200 : Same as D5500 with aperture control in Live View mode.

- Panasonic GH3 : Excellent video image, high bit-rate shooting, can shoot continuously until the battery dies ( 3+ hours per battery ), can mount almost any lens ever made, and has SpeedBooster adapters that give Super35 crop-factor and 1 extra F-stop of light.

- Samsun NX500 : The cheapest 4K video camera on the market ( being released next month ), it should be a good video camera, but I would wait for reviews on this one. Will cost about $800.
