Article Comment – This USSR Lens Buyer's Guide Helps You Find Perfectly Cinematic Vintage Soviet Lenses

Oh, that's interesting. Thanks for sharing! I'm sure they used a range of lenses for The Batman. Wasn't there a whole custom set of ARnsRI lenses?

The rehoused Helios lenses from Iron Glass Adapters did find a way into the chase scene, however. The team was really excited when they found out.

Boards Comment – Where is a good place online to learn film budgeting A-Z?

Reach out to indie filmmakers and see if they would be willing to chat with you regarding the questions you posted.

Also books.

Bankroll by Tom Malloy is a good start.
And From Reel to Deal by Dov S-S Simens. But it's a little outdated.

Boards Comment – How safe is it to give your film to potential distributors?

Good points above. I will say that you should do your due diligence when working with anybody. If the distributor is reputable then you shouldn't really worry about them stealing your work. The distribution business is run on reputation so it's not beneficial for any of them to steal work. That's just a terrible business model.

Also, copyrighting your film with the Copyright Office won't break that bank.

Boards Comment – How to protect a project idea / film concept before the PITCH

The only way to protect a piece of work that you created is to copyright it. But this only pertains to something that is written down or fabricated.

Unfortunately there is no way to protect an idea or concept.

What kind of project is this?
