    Jason B. Kohl

Jason B. Kohl is a half Austrian but mostly American filmmaker from Michigan. His shorts have played major international film festivals and been acquired by American Express and the Atlantic. He's currently financing his first feature film, with production planned for 2016. The Focal Press will publish his first book, Film School: A Practical Guide to an Impractical Decision in 2015. Jason does work for hire with his partner Nora Mandray. As MAKO, their clients include Etsy, MSNBC and Vocativ. As part of that work he's spent time with zoophiles, neo-nazis, convicted terrorists, and on top of a moving soviet tank. In the fall of 2015 he will teach at Michigan State University as their Artist in Residence. Jason is a former Fulbright and DAAD Artist Scholar with an MFA in Directing from UCLA Film School.
