GG Hawkins
GG Hawkins (she/her) is a writer-director and podcaster from the Bay Area. She tells stories that explore the dark side of the female experience and millennial ennui. Her directorial debut I Really Love My Husband world premiered at South by Southwest in 2025 and was released in theaters September 2025. GG directed the short Yes, Daddy has 7 million views on YouTube. She also wrote and directed G.U.F., an episode of You Feeling This?, which premiered at Tribeca in 2023.
In the wake of Roe’s overturning, GG created a sketch comedy fundraising challenge called So Fucked It’s Funny, designed to normalize abortion by empowering people — with and without uteruses (uteri?) — to talk about abortion! Opening at the Dynasty Typewriter, and raising $11k+ for the National Network of Abortion Funds, the show is going on tour to Austin, Chicago and New York.
She received the Channie Award for Best Directing for her web series Kinda Flakey. Her short film An Aspirational Space was awarded the Robert De Niro Scholarship. She is a fellow of the Film Independent Episodic Lab and the Moonshot Initiative Pilot Accelerator. She is represented by Curate and Granderson Des Rochers.
