In January 2014, the script for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight leaked, and Tarantino vowed he wouldn't make the film. Then, he decided to host a staged reading of the script since he wasn't going to make the film. Now, just shy of two years from the script leak, the film is set to arrive "in Glorious 70mm" in roadshow format in select cities and a slightly shorter digital format for the masses.

In anticipation of its release, The Weinstein Company has officially released the final script for The Hateful Eight, so you can now legitimately download a copy of the script. Even before the film's release. Here's the trailer for the film:


There's certainly more than a little irony in releasing the official screenplay for The Hateful Eight before its Christmas Day debut, and if you're like me, you avoided the leaked script (because that was f*cked up) and you're going to wait to read this version of the script until after you get to enjoy the movie on the big screen. Hopefully on film in 70mm. But in the meantime, I recommend downloading it before it disappears so you have it when you're ready to read it.
