The Audience Awards has partnered with FUSION to host the first-ever Project Earth Doc Challenge, a 120-hour contest in which filmmakers must shoot, edit, and submit a short film tied to a specific environmental theme. Up for grabs is a total of $20,000 in cash and value prizes, with an additional $3,000 donation to a green 501(c)3 non-profit organization designated by the FUSION award winner. Winners will also be showcased across FUSION's digital and TV platforms, which reaches 40 million households in America. The films will be screened at multiple film festivals, including the International Wildlife Film Festival. 

Jury awards prizes
    •    Doc Challenge Award (Award by a noted industry panel): $2,500 
    •    FUSION Award (Award by FUSION): $3,000 to the winning filmmaker plus a $3,000 donation


Each finalist will also receive an all-access pass to DOC NYC ($750 value).

    •    2nd Place: $700 
    •    3rd Place: $300
