The latest light meter from Sekonic is a pocket-sized beast with dedicated Cine, HD Cine, and photo modes. The Flashmate L-308X-U is equipped with a sliding lumisphere to measure ambient light as well as reflected light via a lens with a 40° reception angle. The meter also carries a wide metering range from 0 to 19.9 EV at ISO 100 and can work with flash within a range of f/1.0 to f/90.9 at ISO 100.

In Cine mode, you can select different frame rates or shutter angles to achieve exposure within 1/10th stop accuracy. Readouts are available in foot-candles or Lux. HD Cine offers the same functionality with the addition of ISO 850 to assist cinematographers by giving them the option of taking measurements in the native ISOs of today's cinema cameras.

The Flashmate L-308X-U retails at $219.
