Introducing a 5" Atomos Monitor Retailing for $399
The Atomos Shinobi is perfect for YouTubers, vloggers, and photographers.
Atomos has responded to requests from creators for a monitor without a recorder. Newsshooter is reporting that one to their liking has finally come.
The Shinobi is a 5.2" 1000nit anti-reflection uni-touch IPS panel with full HD 1920 x 1080/427 ppi resolution.
It does NOT feature an HDMI out, but it can receive a 4K signal and display in full HD through an HDMI input.
At a lighter weight than the Ninja V, the Shinobi weights 200g to the Ninja V's 320g.
It also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, an SD card slot to load LUTS, with the ability to load up to eight custom LUTS. The monitor runs on the Sony type NP-F battery.
The planel isn't a true 10-bit, rather it is an 8+2 FRC. This is indistinguishable to the human eye, apparently.
The Shinobi screen has 10+ stops of dynamic range.
At a price point of $399, the Shinobi compares favorably to the SmallHD FOCUS 5" which comes in at $474.
It is already in stock at Adorama.
