You might have caught actor and potential Texas governor candidate Matthew McConaughey during this year's Oscar telecast saying that beginning in May, the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Alamo Drafthouse locations will reopen, and over a dozen other spots will be up and running again this summer.

It's obviously been a tough year for businesses, and with the recent closing of LA's famed Cinerama Dome and Pacific Theaters, West Coast moviegoers don't have much to look forward to until new leases get figured out. The Alamo Drafthouse is aiming to change that with the box office opening up in Brooklyn May 7 and the Los Angeles and Austin's Mueller location to open up May 28, with tickets going on sale May 17.

Over the summer, 30 theaters across the country will reopen including Dallas, Omaha, San Francisco, and Laredo. Since reopening other locations, Alamo Drafthouse has reinvented how we go to the theaters, allowing you to pre-order snacks and drinks or renting the entire theater yourself, which the company says will remain an option going forward.

Below is the list of locations and reopening dates. Alamo Drafthouse says there will be new locations announced later this year.
