Since Blackmagic released the URSA Mini Pro 12K, it's seen multiple updates including a slew of new resolutions, improved lens support, and performance enhancements. The camera also topped our 2020 camera rankings.

Today, Blackmagic announced Camera Setup 7.2.1, which follows a more significant update (7.2) released last month.

With any digital camera, firmware updates are inevitable, as manufacturers find ways to improve a camera. Camera Setup 7.2.1 only affects the URSA Mini Pro 12K

Camera Setup 7.2.1

  • Improved time remaining readout
  • Improved focus assist thresholds
  • Updates for manufacturing
  • General performance improvements

Two standout improvements include the focus assist thresholds and better readout times, which will help shooters focus high-resolution footage and improve workflows. While minor, the update is very worth downloading.
