You Can WIN a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6K Pro in This Contest!

Create a short film, and you could get an amazing new camera and access to Resolve.

As you may know, we've partnered with Blackmagic Design on a short film contest, and you could win Pocket Cinema 6K Pro and access to DaVinci Resolve 17!

And, first up, we want to CLARIFY any questions over the contest deadline.

The deadline for submissions is OFFICIALY AND FINALLY July 29, 11:59 p.m. PT. Anything published after July 29 will not be considered.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion!

Remember: Create a 3-minute or less short which tells a story through dramatic lighting techniques. Upload to Youtube and hashtag it #storythroughlightingcontest

It can be natural light or complex setups, but we want to see your cinematic lighting chops on display. How does lighting create drama and convey meaning?

You DO NOT need to use a Blackmagic camera to shoot this.

Remember to keep it clean and PG-13.

  • Must be original content (including music, images, and video)

The header say to submit by July 3rd but the rules say submit by July 29th. Which one is it?

Honestly, its such a great opportunity, but why do the instructions for the competition keep changing? I was preparing for a larger shoot, thinking it was due on the 29th and now I read its for the 3rd of July? And it has changed on such short notice!

Is it the contest for the month of July, or the one that was taking place with deadline 29th June, 2021 has been replaced with this one?

Dear nofilmschool team,
I have contacted you by mail for the winners list, as asked, a week after the deadline. I have had no response, I posting here to know if it's my email that's not working or if there has been some sort of delay on your end?
Kind regards
Noah Riley

are you able to use royalty free sound effects & music? Or are you saying we have to create original scores and personally recorded folly sound?
