2 minute mini-doc

Just a little short about family, division and the Scottish referendum. It's not a perfect production of course, but I think it has a heart in there somewhere.

Shot on a BMPCC and GH3, no prizes for guessing which is which! Ha

This board came up as a related discussion. I realize you posted a while ago, but I really enjoyed the short. Making a story happen in 2 minutes is a huge challenge, and I think you did it well. I enjoyed the beautiful shots of Scotland too. Personally I would have taken out some of the dead space when we has pausing between words, I found it distracting (Like at 1:38). Besides that great piece.

Damn you have an eye for composition and beauty that's for sure. I felt like I was watching a trailer for a full length doc about some old and potentially interesting guy and his world (that's being threatened). Meditative, poetic, emotional, pretty are words that come to mind. This also felt very American to me. It feels like you studied a lot of award-wining (American) documentaries and tried to replicate it in some way? Do you agree? I liked the music a lot too by the way.
