50mm vs 35mm

Should I get a 50mm or 35mm on a D5200 camera? I know the 50mm is considered a natural lens, but considering the crop factor, the 35mm becomes the closest one.

Eventually you will probably want both lenses, but I prefer the longer lens for tighter shots and better separation of your subject from the background. ( i.e. get the 50mm lens )

Context needed. What are you going to shoot?
50mm on a 1.5x crop camera is very limiting indoors, but could be the better choice if all you shoot is talking heads.

GET BOTH for now! Also think of 16/24/80/100/200mm primes in the future...
