Advice based on this music video that could help me in future projects?

In late November of this year, I filmed a music video (https://goo.gl/OIubZA) for an artist and friend of mine.

As I am not a professional, I feel that my future work would benefit from the advice of previous or currently working individuals in the industry as well as videographers in general.

Please be as honest as you possibly can as I am open to any feedback, both small and large.

Thanks!

It looks really good, but I'm curious why the image is like 1:1. That's my only gripe with the thing it looks to squished.

Thank you for the response!

I edited in a 4:3 aspect ratio, as our white backdrop we borrowed did not cover the entire background of my subject without moving the camera closer. Some have told me it looks vintage, which I guess is true in some ways? But all in all it was a technical choice, and if I could render it in 16:9, I would.
