What do you guys and gals think of this piece a team of myself and one other produced in Portugal? The idea was to merge classic film noir techniques with some more modern DSLR tendencies.
Here is the piece. https://vimeo.com/108612871

It's a very good idea...i exploring this also...
But film noir are not only a light technique... or a way to do the storytelling
they have a particular way to talk too!
First i buy the book DARK CITY the film noir by Spencer Selby
it's a expensive book try to find it used... you have in it a list of the 50 best and he made in 1938 to 1952 a critic for 25 of them.I read the critic and find the film in stream and i watch it and i cot them 1 to 10 some story or subject have no more interest today.
You see the film looper with Bruce Willis the guy how did this his first film was BRICK a film noir in a school and Looper it's his third film !
The new wave of film noir start with CHINATOWN.
Blade Runner it's a Film Noir try to watch this one made in 2009http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1258137/
