Post-Production Monitor

I just saw an announcement of the new LG 31MU97 Digital Cinema 4K Monitor http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-31MU97-B-4k-led-monitor. I want to upgrade to a high quality monitor next year that can display colours very accurately as shown on say, a projector or a TV.

Do you think this looks like a good monitor (on paper anyway)? More importantly, what do you look for in an editing monitor?

4k is not need it. You must have a fullHD with a real colors. Thats is more important.

I have the ability to shoot 4K with the GH4 and so I would like a monitor that takes advantage of this ability (I like the 4K mode on this camera because it is closest to Super 35, especially with a speedbooster). I do agree with you that colour is more important than resolution. So what do you think of the colour abilities of this monitor?

10-bit color depth with 4K resolution is impressive at this price point.

Hopefully monitors like this will be half this price in a couple of years.
