Masking a Boom Pole in a Mirror

I shot a scene of two characters talking in front of a mirror in one take. The take with the best performance is ruined at the end when the characters exit the frame and a boom pole is accidentally seen in the reflection of the mirror. Is there a way to mask this? Or is all hope lost?

I am editing with Adobe Premiere.

Is your camera on sticks and static ? Or is it moving during the shot ?

That is a very common visual effects task. It's the type of thing that you could fix in After Effects. Was it shot locked off? If so you could use a section from a different take and replace just that part of the frame using tracking and masking. You could do this even if it wasn't locked off, but the level of difficulty goes up!

It was locked off. Thanks!
