Godzilla vs. Kong had an incredible launch internationally, and we are excited to bring that energy to the block-chain. Both BossLogic and Terra Virtua are perfect partners for this project as they are true fans of the brand, incredibly creative and uphold a very high level of quality with their creations. We look forward to delighting fans with this collaboration,” said James Ngo, Executive Vice President of Franchise Management at Legendary Entertainment.

“I’m beyond excited to collaborate with Legendary Entertainment on such an epic event with two of cinema's most treasured IPs brought together for one earth-shattering experience. As a massive fan myself, this one is truly special for me,” BossLogic said.

But what the hell is an NFT?

An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a one-of-a-kind asset that allows for the sale of digital art and media. The key here is that it does not have a tangible form. NFTs provide a method of authenticating a piece of digital content, so you know it's not a fake.

This is a new foray into studios doing team-ups and responding to things fans are engaging with outside Hollywood. It will be interesting to see if this is a big hit and if other movies will try to sell pieces of art based on them or clips as NFTs.
