This AI-Powered Music Assistant Can Watch You Edit and Suggest Tracks as You Work
A look at Soundstripe LIVE, the world’s first AI-powered music assistant that watches editors work in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve and suggests tracks that fit the scene.

Soundstripe LIVE
Announced as a new, patent-pending macOS app, Soundstripe LIVE is an AI-powered music assistant that can literally watch you as you work and make suggestions for royalty-free music tracks to add to your scenes as you go.
The goal is to unlock faster workflows that don’t break an editor’s flow. The app, which is included with the company’s subscription packages, works with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and other video editing tools you may prefer.
Let’s take a look at how this AI-powered music assistant works and see if it's an option for you.
An AI-Powered Music Assistant
Much as companies like Eddie AI, Nice Touch, and Threadline, as well as Adobe’s own in-app tools, are paving the way for integrated AI-assistant editing, this new tool from Soundstripe brings an automated audio and music layer to the process.
"There's nothing like this for video editors today. Music search shouldn't pull you out of your edit, so we built Soundstripe LIVE to live where the editing already happens. It reads what's on screen, hands the editor real options from real artists, and gets out of the way." - Trevor Hinesley, Soundstripe Co-Founder and CTO.
Soundstripe LIVE works pretty much as it sounds: it’s a macOS app that an editor can download and install on their desktop or laptop, which can be turned on and “watch” you while you edit. As you go, the tool can suggest music tracks that fit the scene, which you can easily drag and drop into your project as you see fit.

A Catalog of Real Artists
What’s neat about the process is that once you’re in your edit, the tool can recommend up to 10 tracks per scene, which editors can like or dislike to steer in their preferred creative direction. And, from trying it out, the technology does a pretty great job in finding tracks that match the scene—and surprisingly fast.
The tool draws from the company’s catalog of tracks, which they note is entirely created by real artists. The app’s recommendation engine reads what’s on the editor's screen in real time and then matches the moment to tracks based on tone, tempo, and pacing.
And, as the company is quick to point out, while the AI handles the matching, the music is 100% human-made.
