Exclusive Deal: Magic Bullet Mojo for 75% Off
Color grading plugin Magic Bullet Mojo gives very dramatic results very quickly, and for many shooters (especially those doing their own editing), a tool that makes video look more filmic — and does so with only a few sliders — is very handy. To be clear, it is not an advanced color correction tool for professional colorists (check out Colorista or the Magic Bullet Suite if that’s what you’re looking for). But I’ve got a deal for NoFilmSchool readers who want results quickly: Magic Bullet Mojo at 75% off. Normally $99, this coupon brings the plugin down to just $25.
Here’s Stu Maschwitz showing Mojo in action:
Mojo Coupon for 75% Off
- After 75% off, Mojo is just $24.75
- Coupon Code (apply at check out): NFS75
- Deal Expires: August 4, 2011
- Link: Red Giant Magic Bullet Mojo
This deal’s only good for a week.
Mojo works in most NLE and effects programs on the market:
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Apple Final Cut Pro (7 and 6, not X)
- Apple Motion
- Avid Xpress Pro/Media Composer 5.6+,2.6+
- Sony Vegas
For more details on version numbers and further compatibility information, see here.

So, how is Mojo different to Quick Looks? They both seem to play in the same space of quick and easy colour correction…

Quick Looks is like a bunch of presets, that also includes stuff like vignettes and soft focus etc.
Mojo is primarily focused on giving your video that typical Hollywood look: Greenish, cool shadows, warm highlights, with an s-curve kind of film-contrast. This sounds very much like a one-trick pony, but the available sliders allow you to tweak this very very flexibly, so you’ll by no means be limited to just one preset “Mojo” look.
I personally own and love Magic Bullet Mojo.

Hmmmm.
I’m probably being thick. I just paid $25 for it. How do you download it? The link sent me to the download page – nowhere is there a download for mojo. Do I need to download the entire suite and then put in the mojo serial number I’ve been issued? That sounds like a bit of a faff.

Just worked it out. I was being thick. Really, really thick. I worry about myself sometimes.

Probably a good tool for anyone that doesn’t have the time or inclination to master curves or 3 way color.

IS THIS A PROGRAM I CAN DOWNLOAD WITHOUT ANYOTHER MAGIC BULLET SOFTWARE?
I AM USING SONY VEGAS 9 AND SAW THAT THIS IS COMPATIBLE WITH THAT PROGRAM BUT SEEING THE “PLUG-IN” DETAILS MAKES ME WONDER IF I CAN USE THIS AS A SOLO PROGRAM.
ANY ANSWERS? THANKS!
