Writer/Director

Ryan Koo is the Founder and CEO of No Film School.

Koo’s first feature AMATEUR is a Netflix Original Film and Sundance Screenwriters Lab selection.

Koo received Sundance’s first Asian American Fellowship as well as additional support from Tribeca, IFP, and the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

His short version of AMATEUR won multiple film festival awards and was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick.

For his web series THE WEST SIDE, Koo won the Webby Award for Best Drama Series and was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Film.

Boards Comment – What's up with the NFS scoring system?

Points are broken. We are well aware... They were developed with the best of intentions but currently they are not particularly useful.

They need dev work, or they need to go. We don't have developers on staff and yes, we've been putting out fires (and when I say "we" I mean our product guy... Which is me). But we have a laundry list of features to improve the boards and community features and hopefully they'll be live soon. Hang in there and thanks for asking!

On a crowded convention center floor with no lighting control and people jostling by.
