Win Some Rad Prizes in the The Foundry's NUKE Non-Commercial VFX Competition
If you've been honing your skills in the free version of NUKE, now is your chance to win a bucketload of cool prizes in The Foundry's inaugural summer competition.
As a quick refresher, The Foundry's NUKE lineup of compositing softwares are some of the most powerful and oft-used tools in the VFX industry, and for many of the top post houses, NUKE is essential knowledge for newcomers. For that reason, The Foundry put out non-commercial versions of the entire NUKE family — so that anyone can learn the software for no cost and take advantage of it for small non-commercial projects.
Now, the fine folks at The Foundry are running a competition for all users of non-commercial NUKE, and they're giving away a ton of awesome prizes, including Wacom tablets, graphics cards, fxphd memberships, and of course, licenses to the commercial versions of their software. All you've got to do is take the following short sequence from Runic Films’ sci-fi short Hashtag, add a HUD and keyboard, and then finish the sequence any way you'd like, using any of the tools available in NUKE. You can either submit a single shot, the entire sequence, or both. Check out the clip:
