Sony Updates the F55's Capabilities with the New AXS-R7 Recorder for Shooting 120p at 4k

Sony is introducing the AXS-R7 external recorder for the F55, an upgrade from the AXS-R5.

Featured in the weather-proof AXS-R7 is the ability to double your slow-motion capabilities from 60p to 120p @ 4k and cache recording for up to 30 seconds (the camera stores up to 30 seconds before you press record so you don't miss anything). To utilize the 120p @ 4k functionality, you will have to use new media cards that Sony will be introducing that are apparently twice as fast.

I saw the FS5 image as the thumbnail, and I was SO EXCITED.... until I realized it's for the F55... I'm sure an F55 owner is as excited as I was!

"you will have to use new media cards that Sony will be introducing"

Of course. Sony: always jacking the customer with proprietary media that's no better than existing standards.
