As part of their VR for Good pilot programs, Oculus is offering ten filmmakers the opportunity to participate in an intimate, hands-on workshop taking place this July 26-27, along with selected nonprofits who want their mission-driven stories told through the emerging medium. Note that the applicationdeadline is 11:59:59 PM PT tonight.

The makers of groundbreaking VR headset, Rift, are promising that participants will receive education and access to VR filmmaking tools including Nokia OZO cameras, as well as one-on-one mentorship with industry veterans and potential funding and other support to see their projects through after the workshop is complete.

Applicants must be 18+ (although there is a sister program for high school students) with some production experience and residency in one of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada (excluding Quebec), France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, USA and the United Kingdom.

The online application is super easy so making tonight’s deadline is definitely doable if you get on that right now! Good luck.
