Story is king, and at last night's ceremony for the 2017 Writers Guild of America Awards, the best of the best were recognized for their ability to keep it on its throne. Moonlight and Arrival once again succeeded at taking home top film prizes, while Donald Glover's FX TV show Atlanta won awards in both the "Comedy Series" and "New Series" category.

Aside from the main awards, special honors were also handed out, including the Screen Laurel Award which went to Oliver Stone and the Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television which went to Aaron Sorkin. Mike Judge also received a special achievement award for his many contributions to animation.
