Stella Lighting Group revealed its new Stella RF lighting system as a prototype last year at NAB and about mid-year, it began shipping. It comes in two LED lighting units, the Stella 8000 (8000 lumens) and the Stella 5000 (5000 lumens). The LEDs can be adjusted via remote control with 4 channels and 20 frequency, that makes for 80 possible settings for as many possible lights as you want on those settings. They are both water and weatherproof (they are submersible at over 300 feet). You can buy a single light or the action kit, which includes:
- 1 light
- Extension Cable
- Remote Control
- All Stella Proprietary Light Shapers
The kits cost the same as a single light (yeah, that's right), with the Stella 5000 costing $1699 and the Stella 8000 costing $1999
