Emerald Fennell's Promising Young Woman is blazing through the awards circuit gathering raves and accolades, and as often is the case when a filmmaker heats up like this, we all wonder, "What's next?" Fennell is also a showrunner on the series Killing Eve, which has been a smash for BBC America.

If you aren't familiar, this is the DC character Zatanna Zatara. Zatanna is a magician character created by Gardner Fox and artist Murphy Anderson back in 1964. She's certainly a lesser-known character and an interesting property on some level for someone coming off such a string of successes.
Zatanna is involved with the Justice League but has yet to appear in a DC movie. The character is familiar to fans of the series Smallville, where she's shown up before.
What will Fennell do with the character? Or be allowed to do with it? As this becomes the route for filmmakers breaking through into features, we'll all be hoping that Fennell succeeds here and continues to get handed more interesting projects.
Though on some level, we wish she was able to secure a larger budget to create another piece of original content.
