Here's When 'Game Of Thrones' is Returning
Winter is coming...and so are a lot of deaths.
If you're like me, your eyes have been trained on Winterfell since Season 7 ended. Sure, we all wish the new episodes got to us as fast as Gendry ran to the wall, but that has sadly not been the case. It feels like ages since we were last in Westeros and centuries since Ned Stark was king.
Chances are, most of your favorite characters are dead now. But Game Of Thrones has whittled down its cast to the most important players. So who will be left on the Iron Throne when the dust clears?
Now's not the time for predictions. We still have a lot of show left.
According to Variety, the budget for the upcoming final season of Game of Thrones came in around $15 million per episode, so get ready for something epic.
Here's the first footage of Sansa and Daenerys meeting, released within HBO's 2019 teaser.
In the “Thrones” footage, Sansa tells Daenerys, “Winterfell is yours, your Grace.” This fulfills Jon's bending of the knee, which we saw in the Season 7 finale. It also probably means that Sansa is cool with Jon and Danereys' new union (both on the battlefield and in the bedroom). You're going to need all the help you can get in the battle against the White Walkers.
If you were worried about the Starks, you were probably right to be, as they view the Starks who died before them and confront their own funeral statues in this Season Eight teaser.
In a brief promo airing before the debut of True Detective, we got a glimpse at the doom and gloom headed toward Westeros.
What does it all mean? Are we seeing the end of the Starks? The beginning of the Wight reign?
No matter what...I'm hoping we get the fulfillment of the greatest "ship" yet to happen.
The new season of Game Of Thrones will debut on April 14th, 2019.
