Panasonic’s New LUMIX FZ1000 II Adds Another 4K Video Under $1,000 Option

Panasonic LUMIX FZ1000 II
Let’s take a look at Panasonic’s recently unveiled LUMIX FZ1000 II and its 4K capabilities and competitive price point.

While not as big as news as last week’s announcement by Canon of their new mirrorless EOS RP (read our full write-up here), Panasonic has quietly been making some solid camera waves in the past several months - most notably with the strong early reviews to their new LUMIX S1.

And while the LUMIX FZ1000 II might not be the first option for every filmmaker or video professional, it is another positive addition to Panasonic’s growing line as a 4K (at 30p) video-capable option under the $1,000 price point.

Announced as an update to their original LUMIX FZ1000 (which now has dropped price to under $500), the new LUMIX FZ1000 II bridge camera features a strong 1-inch CMOS sensor and a nice LEICA 35mm equivalent 25-400mm lens.

Any word yet on whether the camera will include a clean HDMI output and a payable update to V-Log?
