Popular camera support company Wooden Camera (shoutout to my hometown Dallas, Texas!) has a new line of shoulder rigs to show off at NAB 2019. Two new models of the Wooden Camera Shoulder Rig V3 (both the Base and the Pro) are set to be unveiled and offer reduced weight (and price) as well as updates in features.

Watch our NAB 2019 interview with Wooden Camera here.

Let’s take a look at these new rigs.

Shoulder Rig V3 Base

Base

The Wooden Camera Shoulder Rig V3 will see an 18% reduction in weight compared to their popular V2 version. The shoulder pad is also larger (and more comfortable) with more durability and an integrated kickstand for setting the rig down between shots.

Shoulder Rig V3 Pro

Pro

Wooden Camera’s Shoulder Rig V3 Pro has been reduced by 10% in weight and will add new increased flexibility features including arms that can telescope from 4.5 inches to 6.7 inches (11.5cm to 17cm) and rotation points to widen or narrow the grip spacing.

Both Base and Pro V3 models will continue to feature ARRI standard dovetail and rosettes, NATO standard crossbar, rod clamps, cheeseplates, battery mounts and come in both “black rubber” and “brown leather” options for the handgrips.
