In a Tweet yesterday, Atomos announced that the latest firmware for its Ninja V recorder, AtomOS 10.55, was available. With the update, users now have access to ISO metadata that's embedded in ProRes RAW files while shooting with the Sigma fp and Sony a7S III full-frame mirrorless cameras.

The problem with the announcement was that when we went to the support page, only version 10.54 was available to download. It's why we held off on our reporting. In a what-the-heck-is-going-on-moment, Atomos has shared with No Film School that its website has been experiencing technical issues and is unable to update the firmware for the time being. While they're working quickly to resolve the problem, Atomos has supplied No Film School with a link to download version 10.55.

When you do update to 10.55, it's important to note the metadata can is only compatible with Final Cut Pro X, but with the metadata you can now freely adjust the ISO using Apple's non-linear editor.

Ninja V users can download the latest firmware by clicking on this direct link.
