DJI to End Support for Mavic 2 Pro and Other Enterprise Drones Soon
The DJI Mavic 2 Pro and a few other enterprise drone options are set to end service and support soon. Here’s what you need to know about these sunset decisions.

DJI Mavic 2 Pro
Soon to be gone, but not forgotten, DJI has announced that it will end service and support for the Mavic 2 Pro, the Mavic 2 Enterprise Zoom, the Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual, and the Matrice 600 Pro.
And while the latter three are enterprise drones designed for surveying, search and rescue, and other industrial applications, the Mavic 2 Pro might be one of DJI’s most important (and popular) drone models for aerial videographers and photographers over the years.
Let’s take a look at why DJI is making these moves, as well as explore the legacy of the Mavic 2 Pro and these other enterprise drone options.
RIP to the DJI Mavic 2 Pro
Introduced to aerial filmmakers, cinematographers, and hybrid content videographers back in 2018, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro has had a pretty spectacular run as one of the company’s top options for all types of aerial content work.
Designed to feature a nice balance between power, portability, and pro-quality visuals, the Mavic 2 Pro was powered by its 20MP Hasselblad L1D-20c gimbal camera that was able to deliver a 1" CMOS sensor with an adjustable f/2.8 to f/11 aperture, support for a 10-bit Dlog-M color profile, and 4K 10-bit HDR video capture.
The Mavic 2 Pro found further popularity and usefulness thanks to its low-drag aerodynamic body design, which enabled the drone to reach speeds up to 47.7 mph. It also featured a four-cell LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting.
DJI Ending Support
While DJI might mostly be in the news these days for its battles to sell new products in the US, despite its effective new drone ban, this decision appears to be just a normal sunsetting option for these drone models, as there are newer models that have made the Mavic 2 Pro no longer needed for most audiences.
DJI has announced that support for the Mavic 2 Pro will end on August 31st, 2026. Support for the enterprise drones mentioned above will end here on May 29th, 2026.
Please keep in mind that these drones will still work and be available to use for a long time after. This is just DJI announcing that it will no longer provide technical support, maintenance, repairs, or other standard product support.
