Now in its 6th year, My RØDE Reel is one of the biggest short film competitions in the world with over 14,000 filmmakers vying for that sweet grand prize of $1M worth of gear to be won across 28 categories, including the brand new "The Trailer Is The Movie" category, which offers the winner a $50,000 scholarship to Full Sail University.
However, the clock's ticking and that final entry date of August 28th is almost here! So, if you've procrastinated on entering, maybe seeing all the prizes you could win will motivate you.
Prizes
This prize pool is no joke. The winner of the big Judges' Film Prize will get a massive prize package that includes over 50 items from the world's biggest names in filmmaking gear, including a Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro G2, a Freefly MOVI Pro from Freefly, a JOBY 3K PRO Rig Kit, and, of course, a ton of great audio gear from RØDE. But again, there are 28 categories in which to win, and each one offers a different set of prizes that yes, include a ton of gear, but also offer scholarships to Full Sail University, licenses, subscriptions, and suites to Adobe Creative Cloud, FilmConvert, Musicbed, MZED, and Red Giant.
How to Enter
Anyone can enter and the process is simple:
- Go to My RØDE Reel and download the starter pack
- Make a 3-minute (max) short film in any genre
- Make a 3-minute (max) behind-the-scenes showing you using any RØDE product in your production
- Upload your films to the My RØDE Reel website
- Share it with everyone you know!
Entries close August 28th at 12pm (AEST/GM+10). Winners will be announced from September 25th until October 4th.
