Everyone remembers the first time they saw bullet-time. I was in 7th grade, and The Matrix was the first DVD I ever rented, owned, and wore out. It's a movie I probably have memorized. And even as the sequels expanded upon the world, the magic was never lost.

I have been so excited for the fourth movie.

Warner Bros. originally had The Matrix 4on the release calendar for May 21, 2021, but the pandemic and delays caused the studio to bump the sequel to April 1, 2022. We don't know much about the movie, aside from Keanu calling it a "love story." But now some of the other actors are dropping hints.

Jessica Henwick has been in Game of Thrones and Star Wars, and now takes on this epic franchise. In an interview with Indiewire, she mentioned that this new Matrix move would change Hollywood.

“There are definitely moments on set where Yahya [Abdul-Mateen II] and I look at each other and we just go, 'Matrix 4.' Those pinch-me moments,” Henwick said. “Yeah. Lana [Wachowski] is doing some really interesting things on a technical level in the same way that you know, she created a style back then. I think she’s going to change the industry again with this film. There’s some camera rigs that I’ve never seen before that we’re using. That’s probably all I can say for that."

We know the fourth movie is being shot on the RED Komodo and Ranger Monstro with Panavision Panaspeed lenses, and I cannot wait to see the way those tools are used to revolutionize the industry.

We've heard rumors that the entire visual style of the franchise is being shaken up.

But will they lose that classic green luster of the original films?

And how can Neo be back? And Trinity for that matter?

We know at the end of the third movie they both die, forcing a truce between humans and machines. According to The Oracle, that peace is temporary.

Could this be a continuation of that storyline, or will it be something new?
