well said! I talk quite a bit more in the book about why "dressing like a director" is key, but treating cast and crew with respect is more important. But can you really "dress like a nice person"? If so, then yes!

Well, it's not a panacea - that's for sure. I talk about it much more extensively in the book. I'm not saying that would work for still photographers. DPs don't love it either - the angles and lighting are never going to be optimal if you reposition. BUT if you talk to any editor - especially TV editors - and most film ones, you'll find that zooming and repositioning is a lot more common than you think. We did extensive resolution tests on my film BETWEEN US, and found we could zoom in 150% and still hold the resolution well enough for the final output. That allowed us remarkable freedom in post, and saved endless time on set - particularly with a two-camera shoot (and that was all with an ASC cinematographer's blessing).
